Foreign Policy is seldom the vestige of a single strain of intellectual thought, or the ideations of a convenient strand of ideology thrust upon the english speaking intellectuals of our country. It is rather the sum effort of national thinking , united by a national consciousness , much like what HuffingtonPost India is primarily tasked with creating, in a journalistic sense.
A country like India exists for a reason. We take pride in our pluralistic foundations and deeply value every soul that has ever birthed into this sacred land of ours.True then, that militarily we MAY not the strongest army in the world, but that does not take away from the fact that we are among the bravest.
True then, that the multiple headwounds suffered from the constant barrage of terrorism emanating from our north western borders, coupled with the overbearing presence of a Communist , colluding together to create Asia's own axis of evil has a telling effect on our morale when it comes to waging an all out war against our adversaries.Incidentally the puny nation that birthed from our creation is constantly threatening us with Nuclear retaliation, an action we dismiss as mere rhetoric, while the world is busy trying to place the indians into doing nothing about it.
Even without a single shot being fired, a nation of engineers could definitely 'engineer' a secession of the provinces of our bellicose neighbour,but unfortunately the conservative shackles that society places on our 'bituahs' largely renders them as servants of this system of wealth accrual we call as Indian Society, not realizing that we as human beings are indifferent to the plight of suffering of our own marginalized and thrust the burden of social malaise on to NGOs,while we get away by donating our left over cash and clothes to charity in the hope of getting an 80G deduction ,and to use 'plainspeak' are only interested in getting married, working a job,and live out our lifes in parochial significance, showing of that we can now buy American Harleys on EMI, and are only a wish away from acquiring those Korean Galaxy S8's.
Know this - our finest men are stationed at the borders, and it is our deep indifference towards the heart cry of the poor, the downtrodden and the marginalized that is causing us to die inward, if not for which we would know the value of every single life that is being martyred at our borders and even within.
Such a post on a national platform just goes to the show the extent of depravity that has set into our indian system of thinking. Know this too -there is nothing more precious than a single human being, no matter what manner of prejudice is inflicted upon them, and if it is their destiny to be born in this nation of ours, their cry for help will not go unanswered, for a Mother has many sons whom she will raise and when the time arises, they will happily lay down their lives for.
